ssh installations

Hi,

Please can someone direct me on openssh CLIENT installation. I have already installed openssh on a server. What next should I do for the CLIENTS.

If your running your client on windows then you can use PuTTY which is superb and free.

If you compiled ssh from source, the clients will be included. If you installed from a package specific to your OS, then you'll have to find the client package.

A hint as to the flavor of unix you are using would be helpful.
 
The unix flavours are Solaris and AIX.

Solaris and AIX? Newer versions of both come with SSH already. I wouldn't bother compliling new ones unless you're looking for some special extra functionality.

Take a look at for a list of Sun freeware packages needed to get SSH to work on some older versions of Sun. They've got some pretty good guides there too.

As for AIX, I use these sites to get OpenSSL and OpenSSH software:
