SSH installation problems on AIX V5.3

I am trying to install SSH on a new server. The os is running AIX V5.3 ML05. I have installed the tar file and after unpacking the file. I try to execute the config file and get the following error. Are there step by step instructions on installing ssh?

# ./configure
checking for gcc... no
checking for cc... no
checking for cc... no
checking for cl... no
configure: error: no acceptable cc found in $PATH

Thanks for the info, I was able to install ssh. I started the sshd process. The problem is when I try to ssh to another system, I get a message SSH: NOT FOUND. Do I need to start something else?

did you add the location of the ssh exe to your path?

IE:

export PATH=$PATH:/location/of/ssh
