I have a really WEIRD problem here, that maybe some one can help with.

I stood up 2 servers on HP Blades. One is a Redhat 5.3 and the other is Oracle Linux (OEL) 5.3.

We have a few users who can SSH using Putty as root or they su to root the server will panic after a few minutes of hitting the enter key or just browsing directories.

It seems to panic on the netxtreme2 driver.

When it does panic it causes the network card to stop working. I can restart the network service and the nic will come back again.

Anybody seen this?

Double sure the right driver installed?

[root@netwatch ~]# yum remove windows
Loaded plugins: fastestmirror
Setting up Remove Process
No Match for argument: windows
No Packages marked for removal

OH YEAH!

It doesn't sound like a kernel panic as such (perhaps a "module panic" if such a thing exists?) if you can restart networking and continue without restarting the server; what is output on the console when this panic occurs?

Annihilannic.
