SSH and OpenSSH

I have managed to setup public-key authentication between client/server where both machines are running OpenSSH. But has anyone managed to successfully setup public-key based authentication where the ssh server has the commercial version of ssh and the client has OpenSSH (v2.9)?

If so, can anyone give me help?
