Hi

I see there is all sorts you can do to set up SSH server, but a default set up without configuring keys etc... does it have a default encryption or is it plaintext until configured?

Cheers

From the command line type "man sshd" and you will receive the wisdom you seek. ;-)

RhythmAce is absolutely correct, but, in short, SSH encrypts by default (otherwise you might as well just use telnet!).
