Good day,

I was wondering if anyone can give me some insight as to what the best practice is when working with SSAS.

Currently we have SSAS on a server that house the DB as well. Also,on the same server we have SSRS.

I was wondering if we would get better performance from SSAS if it was on its own server and then only pull the data from the DB which will be on another box. I would like to know if this sort of route will give us faster processing and better browsing performance on the user's side.

Also, what is the industry standar of doing things.

Thanks

A lot of factors can come into play like system resources and such. But for the most part I always place SSAS on a seperate server when given the option. SSAS will use every bit of resource available so I like having a box serve nothing but SSAS.

Thanks for this ...
