Hi,
I'm looking for some assistance with drill-throughs on SSAS 2005.
I've built a Cube from several Dimensions and a Fact Table, the Fact comprises some measures and a description field which is neither a measure nor a Dimension attribute. I now want to define a drill-through which I would like to contain the description field.
In 2000 I would just enable the drill-through and select the fields I wanted to from the Fact Table but I am struggling to find an equivalent approach in 2005.
The default drill-through just appears to give me all of my Measures + Dimension attributes.
I understand that I can use a drill-through action to change this and define specific fields but this still seems to only allow me to choose either Measures or Dimension Attributes. Neither of which are applicable to my description field within the Fact Table.
I have actually found a work around which is to define my Fact Table as another, hidden Dimension with my description field as an attribute which I can then pick-up via the drill-through action. But this seems a very clunky way to do it and I'm thinking there must be a simpler way which I am missing!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Matt
