Hi! I installed a plain all-digital IP Office 500V2, R7, with a Combo Card plus a DS-8 module and ten 1416 phones. The first 6 buttons on these phones are set by User Rights, followed by a button for each extension.
All the phones work, but one extension on the DS-8 who's LED blinks rapid red on all phones.
The phone makes and takes calls that SSA can see. SSA says the phone is unplugged, yet SSA shows the calls in progress.
The constant blinkage is an annoyance. I've reviewed the settings and swapped phones without success. I considered a strip of electrical black tape over the light!
Besides trying another port on the system (I'm not sure I did it), what else can I try?

Is flashing Red led on the phone programmed as a user button.
Or is it on the ds8 card.

If it is a user button check the user is logged in correctly.
If they are logged out the button will flash on the other programmed phone buttons

Also DND may be active.

Try and remove the user button from the user rights first.
Programme it as a dial button of the user to see it that works.

It is possible that the user is logged in on another phone. So his base phone would show unplugged but his user would still get calls. You can check if this is the case:

Open system status
Go to extensions (the big main list)
It will show the extension and the user logged into that extension, see if someone is logged into that user but on a different phone

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.
