Should work as normal, try re-install java then SSA.

Or you can try to onpen internet explorer and paste the link below.

Because it is Java :)
Java tools can be used in a webbrowser so that is why it works

I did notice something VERY interesting...
If you have dual monitor and run SSA on the secondary (right, left, up, down whatever). SSA will appear blank. It opens, however, the center of the windows is completely blank.

If you open it on the primary display, all is well. If you open it on the secondary and drag it to the primary, it will light up.

Interesting.... I too used it in a browser windows which didn't matter which display it was started on. Are you starting this on another display?

Drew, i have had exactly the same thing.

Also, even if you have disabled the second monitor, SS opens "off screen" and is a real pain to get back onto the main screen.

See what my brain does when it's not thinking about phones.

This seems to happen on a regular basis when using LogMeIn. Right-click SSA, go to Properties and select Compatibility. Check the box for compatibility mode then select Windows 2000. This has worked on all of my installations.

I had this problem about two weeks ago. I had to completely remove java and reinstall it. Everything works now.

I tried the browser as you suggested on the sites that are not working, but it will open a permissions windows that you can't see so you would need to do that the first time from site or through dialup so that it actually opens

compatibility worked on all sites I have tried right now like a charm.
Have a star for good thinking

I enjoy every moment of it :)

Thanks for the star! Still don't know what is actually causing this but at least we have a solution. It seems to have something to do with certain video chipsets.

Nice but it just should work and you probably still have a Java problem !
