SRV Records on GoDaddy/Google Apps for Work

I have DNS services with Google Appls for Work, with a domain name registered with GoDaddy through Google. In order to have my own sip uri voip@mydomain.com, on iptel.org you can register an account on your own domain name and you need to create a SRV record as per instructions at

http://www.iptel.org/service,

which I have done as per

_sip._udp.mydomain.com 10 10 5060 sip.iptel.org

Can anybody point me in the right direction. I have made-up a simple SRV record as per instructions, but on the network-tools.com when I test for DNS resource records, it does not come up
