SRST MGCP CCM 4.1.3 Phone register

Hi All,

Working on my first CCM, I have hit a few issues and might be posting more questions ;-)

Have CCM 4.1.3 on a HQ site, HQ router is a 2811 and a remote site connects to 1750 via 1MB serial.

Both sites have abt 44 users, customer could not afford high spec
routers, so they have 2811 and 1750, thing is they can only support 36 and 24 calls
during a failover, is there anyway i can tell the router during a
failover to only associate and register the phones I pick, i.e. i don't
want the router auto registering the first 36 phones, I need to tell
it to register the 36 I choose.


I'm not sure if srst will allow u to pick what phones u want to register during a failover ...
not sure if perhaps u do something like CME and create ephones etc etc
and manually assign a phone to a ephone ...but I'd have to enable telephony services.

Another question, Is there anyway to setup CCM to allow intercom paging.

You have to create a seperate device pool in the CallManager with SRST enabeled for only this device pool. Next add all the phones which need SRST to the SRST enabled device pool.

as far as intercom paging put an appearance of a DN on all phones to be paged , set it to auto answer and dial the DN and state the info. This is probably more of a work around than a direct soltuion and I dont know if you have availabe buttons.
 
The Intercom suggested above will work if your phones aren't too close together. If they are they'll feedback through each others speakers. Unless a newer version of CCM allows Auto Answer with the mike off.
I think Berbee has a program that puts Intercom paging through the phones. $$$$$$
