SRS Validation Error

I have unfortunately needed to un-install…. then re-install SCOM07. Everything is fine except for installing the reporting module. I receive a SRS VALIDATION ERROR.
I tried other resolutions like resetsrs.exe. No good, gives a VB error.
Since the un-install, the SQL REPORING CONFIG initialize is GERYED out. From what I have researched, this may be an issue.
For some reason, if I look at the SQL2005REPORTS DB, the chosen domain account does not have SRSWriter access.
Any suggestions?
