Hi clever people!
I have a requirement to use SRR on some 3560s. (it sure is more complicated than doing QoS on a router
I'm trying to get my head round how it all fits together and I have a query.
I have a number of access ports in a particular VLAN and traffic coming from that VLAN will require some priority on the Egress to the WAN. (and vice versa at the other end)
I will be using MQC to mark all traffic with DSCP values at the ingress to the VLAN interface. If I then use 'mls qos srr-queue output dscp-map queue etc etc' to map the DSCP values the egress queues, do I really need to worry about cos and cos-maps in this scenario? Can I just rely on the DSCP? (the WAN egress port where the queuing will be applied is a routed port)
Many Thanks in Advance!
