Seeing as the SRG50 is a BCM50, can you use the 12 digital ports on the BCM50?

I want to set up a BST Doorphone on a SRG50, which needs a digital port to work, however I can't get any of the digital ports to work. If I plug in a digital handset, the display flashes for several seconds and then goes blank.

Anybody?

Do you have keycodes installed for the 12 digital stations?

I am not very familiar with the SRG50 but my understanding is that the SRG50 is a BCM50. So whatever the BCM 50 can do the SRG can do. I'm sure that there are people here that have more experience and better knowledge of it then I do though.

No digital phones on an SRG. They'll sit there and flash at you. You can connect an ATA to a digital port and use it for analog dialtone. The only TDM sets that will function on a SRG are analog sets.

SRG is designed to be a surviveable gateway off a CS 1000 or CS 2100 for small branch offices. IP Phones are redirected to the CS 1000/2100 to get their service and fall back to the SRG if they cannot reach that platform. When they do, they receive very basic telephony functions and NOT the normal BCM functionality. Since those platforms do not support T7XXX digital sets, then the SRG does not support digital sets. It does support analog sets (through the ATA) for local FAX/cordless/.. devices in the branch as well as incoming/outgoing trunks.

When the SRG keycode is activated on a BCM, it opens all VoIP Trunks, IP Stations, Analog Trunks and Analog Stations. No Digital Sets are allowed.. To accomplish your task, use an analog station port to an analog doorphone device, or use an analog trunk port and an analog doorphone that sends voltage to the analog trunk port...
