I'm having an error message on my srg50 "dn4001-invalid ID(1)-no endpoint in the gatekeeper database".
The M1 tech tells me that in the cs1000 it says that the SRG1(thats my srg50) is not registered.

Where should we look next?

Name of gatekeeper must be preceded by NAME:

Sorry but where and on which system, the srg50 or the cs1000?

I think i'm doing some progress here...
Now the error is "Invalid ID(3)-Endpoint in gatekeeper is originating Call Server.
I set up my H323 gatekeeper as follow: Call signaling: Gatekeeper Routed (should it be Gatekeeper Resolved,Gatekeeper Routed No RAS instead?) and it shows in the status of the H323 of the SRG50 "registered with gatekeeper..".
On the CS1000 i see In Gateway Endpoints : #1 SRG1 RAS H.323 / NCS X.X.X.X SRG50 Gateway 1 so i guess now my gateway endpoint is good but why does the I1140 doesnt register on the CS1000?
Sorry for all the questions but like i mentionned its my first install so i guess the next one will be much easier...

So it is set to "Gatekeeper Resolved". My gateway endpoint shows working on either side(Srg50 and Cs1000) but i'm still having the same error "Invalid ID(3)-Endpoint in gatekeeper is originating Call Server.
Any clues?

The DN in the NRS must have a route cost lower than the SRG endpoint. So for DN 2400 is must be entered on the CS1000 endpoint as CDP with a lower route cost than the SRG. Additionally after the set registers to the SRG you need to go in and tell it what the BUID is. This can only be done after the set registers.

Well my set is registered to the SRG50 and shows up as been in local mode. The BUID information and MOTN have been entered but for some reason the I1140 does not register to the CS1000.

Can you dial the main office extensions from local mode? If your routes, destination codes and NRS are correct you should be able to call the main office from local mode. If your BUIDs are 40XX, make sure you have a destination code that points 40XX over the IP trunks back to the main office. The local mode sets need to have access to the IP trunk line pool as well. Also, 40 would need to be added to the NRS against the main office endpoint.

No, i cannot dial the main office extensions from local mode because i didnt program the routes yet. I didnt think it was needed in order to register the I1140 to the cs1000.
In my understanding, the steps were to create the Gateway Endpoint in the cs1000 and enter the config in the H323 on the srg50 and once the gateway endpoint was up, to boot up the I1140, let it register and it should try to register to the Cs1000 since it had the MOTN and BUID information.
Guess i'm not right or i'm missing the concept.

You need the routing entries under the CS1000 endpoint. Otherwise it does not know where to send the registration.

I'll ask the M1 tech to verify the routing entries tomorrow and let you know the progress.
Maybe were missing information on the Cs1000 side.
Thanks all for your help.

Just to give an update on this Srg50 problem. It turned out to be some endpoints programming missing in the CS1000.
Thanks to every one for helping me on this one.

Once you register with the Gatekeeper and you've built your destination codes and see the calls leaving on BCM Monitor, it's always the NRS or CS1000 problem to fix. Although, that won't stop them from stressing the little BCM tech.

You get a star for posting the resolution...Maybe you have just helped the next person that runs into the same problem. Thanks

tnphoneman,

You're the one giving me the answer, have a star!

Hey gberger,

I have been having the same issue as you. Just to confirm, was it routing entries on the 1K or some other endpoint provisioning that sorted you out?

Thanks.

It was endpoints programming in the CS1000.
