SRG R3 upgrade to R6 over WAN?

HiGuys,

Hope you guys can answer this simple question?

Can an SRG R3 be upgraded off site (remotley from main office)to R6?

I am being advised that an SRG upgrade from R3 to R6 requireds a site visit and can ONLY be done locally. I have completed a number of patch updates remotley and have never experienced any problems. I cannot therfore understand why it is not technically possible to upgrade release levels remotley.

Please can somebody advise.

It is possible to do this, but there is always a risk that the link could fail during the upgrade process and therefore you wouldn't be able to carry on with the upgrade and could end up with a corrupted system.

Is it not the same as with patches, if the link fails it would corrupt aswell?
