Hello all

I do not know SRG but I have to repair what I broke due to a communication error with the client.
It was an SRG R3 that I upgraded/changed to R6 BCM50 mode.
What they wanted was the SRG maxed out....first SRG request ever for me.

I cannot get the R6 to except code "SRG 260"

3 things I need to know...by Sunday would be nice, they want it back Monday

1.
Is SRG mode available on R5 or R6?

2.
I am looking for a feature list, as in what keycodes from the list below are excepted in SRG mode.
I am also looking for the maximum data number, as in "how many or limit" is supported for that particular feature.
If anyone has a keycode to share with almost all supported features that would be extremely helpful.

I have marked what I know so far what is supported, but what other features?:

202,VM seat
208,UM seat
220,Fax Messaging
221,Fax Overflow
222,Fax on Demand
223,Fax Suite
211,VPIM/AMIS
110,Q.SIG <-------Supported by SRG
111,MCDN <-------Supported by SRG
109,DPNSS <-------Supported by SRG
217,LANCTE Seat <-------Supported by SRG
206,VoIP GW Trunk <-------Supported by SRG (via 260 SRG with special data #) System max 24

271,NCM BCM50a/e
252,NCM BCM50 <-------Supported by SRG
115,Int Analog Trunk <-------Supported by SRG
116,Int Analog Sets <-------Supported by SRG
117,Int Digital Sets <-- Supported by SRG, except only for use with an external ATA, if you attempt to us a digital set it will show "Not allowed"
118,Exp Port <-------Supported by SRG
119,BRI Loop/trunks <-------Supported by SRG
270,BT RACE <-------Supported by SRG, but no longer used

3.
What is the difference between Survivable IP Client and IP Client?

Many thanks!

SRG is supported by all newer releases up to R6.

The code 260 is correct, but I think this code was incompatible with some other features - if you try to enable SRG with an incompatible feature, maybe it is refused/ignored.

In the SRG mode, several applications are disabled in order to free resources for IP sets and IP trunks. Specifically, these features are disabled:
[ul]
[li]Voicemail[/li]
[li]Fax[/li]
[li]IVR[/li]
[li]LAN CTE devices[/li]
[/ul]
The IP device limits are increased in the following way:
[ul]
[li]IP Sets - from 50 to 80[/li]
[li]IP Trunks - from 12 to 24[/li]
[/ul]

Just a side note - if for some reason you cannot get the SRG working on the BCM50 and are pressed to provide a solution, UCX devices from E-MetroTel do support SRG, so you could use UCX as a replacement for the BCM50.

Thanks dude, as always...I will let the other vendor know for sure about the UCX option.

I managed to get this BCM into a nice SRG system.

But, I just need to know #3 and now #4 now.
What is the difference between Survivable IP Client and IP Client?

#4
I found this in the SRG R6 Config guide:
The OSN is enabled by a third-party tool that connects to the SRG through a LAN CTE interface.
A single LAN CTE interface must be enabled on the SRG by applying an keycode. (The LAN
CTE interface is enabled by default by the SRG 50 Release 6.0 Authorization keycode.) For more
information, see LAN CTE Configuration Guide (NN40010-601).

I will add 217 LANCTE 1 and see how it goes.

I really need to see a Release 6 SRG keycode lic file if somebody has.

I added LAN CTE code 1, while it shows in System> Keycodes in BEM, it does not show the interface in Administration > Data Services
So based on what you said above as being disabled, and the info I found, perhaps this is enabled in the background and is only needed of OSN...if used by the site.

Back to "Survivable IP Client and IP Client"
The reason I am confused on this is because I have seen a couple keycodes that had both on it.

Thanks

The LAN CTE is not completely disabled - the SRG mode allows LAN CTE to be used. What is not allowed are endpoints (devices) created via the LAN CTE. So, the OSN (whatever that is) could be allowed.

The only license code that I know about that is used for IP sets is 218. Maybe the "Survivable IP Client" license was used for SRG (with a different price) vs the "IP Client" license that was used for normal mode - but the keycode generated for both was probably the same (218).
