I need some help configuring communication between the SRG and main Office. I am able to call the SRG office(Remote Office) from the Main Office, but the SRG office unable to call the Main Office.I have both IP and Analog phones configured at the SRG office.
Are the sets redirecting to the main office? If your main office extensions start with 33 (for example), make sure you have 33 built as a destination code pointing to your IP trunks. I'm guessing that the SRG is registered to the NRS since you can call the sets. Also, make sure you have 33 built as a CDP entry against the main office in the NRS config.
At present I have gotten the Analog phones to call the Main site,so calling is working both ways from the Analog phones and IP phones. The next problem I have now is getting the IP phone that are in normal mode on the SRG to talk to the Analog at the SRG site. When I try to call from these IP phones I am getting "Release and try again..." and a busy when I use the Analog.
That's easy enough to fix. Think of this as two networked systems at this point (which it is).
Lets say your main office IP sets are extensions 33XX. The analog sets are 34XX and live on the SRG. On the CS1000, you'll need to build a CDP/DSC in LD 86 for digits 34. Point 34 to the RLI that your virtual trunks live in. In the NRS, assign digits 34 against the SRG site. Make sure you build target lines on the SRG that match the digits you'll be sending over the virtual trunks to the SRG.
I did what you suggeted and I got the solution working about 90%, however I am still faced with the problem of the IP phones not calling the Analog set. I then tried registering the IP set straight to the main site to see if I would be able to call, but I am still unable to call the Analog sets.
Saw a typo in my last reply - it's ld 87 for a DSC, not 86. Whoops.
If you fire up the BCM monitor (on the SRG) or Dchannel messaging on the PBX, do you see the call trying to come into the SRG or out of the PBX?
You can do a H.323 routing test from the NRS to verify that the NRS is configured correctly. You'll want the call type to go through as a CDP. If you have a DMI against the route, you could be changing the call type to a different value that isn't defined in the NRS. If that's the case, you can build a different RLI to send the CDP calls to.
