I have created a website using a screen resolution 1024*768 but when it is viewed on a machine using 800*600 you are having to scroll to see some of the information.

Is it possible to alter the settings on your page to suit the resolution of users PC's?

not realy.

the best thing to do is to create a page for 800x600 (actual work size 760x420) this way it works in nearly all screen size.

The thing to remember is to build for the lowast commone denominatior. 800x600 is near enough the smalles screen size your site will be viewed on.

You can also make your site more fluid by using percentages rather than actual pixel values. For example, if you want a simple table to take up the entire width of the screen, regardless of resolution, make the width=100%.

Little things like that make a difference. Try using percentages as often as possible. Kevin
