I have a branch office SR1002 router that I want to eliminate (as much as I can) broadcasts on an Ethernet interface. I have OSPF turned on on the interface (so it shows up in my routing tables). Since I will not have any routers or anything in the Ethernet segment that needs OSPF broadcasts, what command can I use to turn off OSPF broadcasts on this interface yet keep OSPF on the interface?

I'm not familiar with the SR1002, but I think the concept your talking about is often called an OSPF Passive Interface... perhaps looking for that key word in your configuration will help.
