Can you give me the workstation name -- like WS V or WS III?
If you turn on the workstation and you get the screen "Loading Program Page 0" then it's a Squirrel Classic workstation that can be jumpered to use 232 or 422 serial communication.
If you turn the workstation on and you get "Searching for Server...." then it's a SquirrelONE workstation that uses TCP/IP communication.

I should add -- if it's a Classic Workstation -- it is compatbile with all versions of classic squirrel. The only thing that would make it not work is if you used 232 protocol and it was a 422 workstation (visa versa)....
