Question 1..

Squid Machine has been server as a proxy for our internal network for a long time.. however recently we added a new internal network.

I used the route command to add the static route to the new network and now the machines on the new network can ping and get web responses back from squid.

However, if says that my access is denied due to the ACLs on the machine.. how do I make my new network an allowable network to surf the net now?

Do you have any values for the following in /etc/squid/squid.conf ?

acl all src 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0
acl manager proto cache_object
acl localhost src 127.0.0.1/255.255.255.255

[root@www root]# cd ..
[root@www /]# cd etc
[root@www etc]# cd squid
bash: cd: squid: No such file or directory
[root@www etc]#

Location may vary.
Do a `locate squid.conf`

ok I found the line in the conf that constricts us to only having the one network allowable..

but the file is listed as read only.. how do I change that?
