squared video

Hi.I installed win XP service pack 2 and now most of all videos are displayed with squares.I analized the codec with the avicodec.I installed the codec WMV3 but i see the same.Thanks

Have you tried a program called VLC? (its a free video viewer that plays nearly everything you throw at it?) Run a search in google for it. It may help check if its the system

Give this a try. Put your system disc in, go to command prompt and type sfc/scannow. If you dont have a sp2 system disc follow the link below to make one.

Sorry i forgot to mention that the player is vlc.In media player says that the format is not recognized or sometimes gives me the link to pay for view.
