SQLServerAgent Not Running

For some reason my SQL server has stopped running sceduled jobs. The scheduled jobs run data transformation packages.

The packages work fine when I run them outside of a scheduled job from the enterprise manager.

If I try to run a job pointing at the same data tranformation packages I get the error:-

'Error 22022:SQLServerAgent is not currently running so it cannot be notified of this action.'

Anybody any ideas what the problem is or where I can go for
more information on the error?

Sorted it.

The damn thing had been switched off via the toolbar SQL Service Management icon. I have started to round up the usual suspects and a fair trial will be conducted for all involved before the executions.

You may want to disable that from startup if you are having issues with people accessing it.
