We are running in a mixed 2000/Novell net. Novell provides the PDC logic as that platform has been in place for years. We now are deploying apps based on SQLServer.

I have set up jobs for online backups, etc., but just this week those jobs have stopped working (even though the expanding the Jobs in EM DOES NOT show failures (?). They just show as having run thru last weekend with a new projected next run date skipping this week's schedule altogether.

I stopped and started the agent but now it won't start at all. Rebooted the server (its a devel environ for now) and get the message that (sic) the agent cannot connect to the "Local" database.

I searched this forum but could not find any references to this, so I'm asking for help...

TIA,
Ron

I had to re-enter the sa password in the agent config screen. It hasn't changed lately, but apparently it got corrupted somehow.

The agent startup password was still OK - just the sa password (?)

It seems to be running now...
