Im Currently configuring SQLMAIL to run on one of our SQL 2000 Server, An account has been created on both Exchange and WIN2K called SQLMAIL to use for SQLMAIL. The problem is that When i try to change the MSSQL service so that it starts using this account it errors. Our security team say that the account is a domain account and that it has admin rights but it refuses to let me start the service giving error 107. Any ideas or solutions would be much appreciated.

Are you sure you have last SP and outlook 2000 installed ?

give the description for 107 please because the one 107 im thinking of has nothing to do with this.

also i believe you need to add the account to the server as a user first. If you havnt done so.

Outlook is ok, and there is definately an account on the server. I wonder if it might be a permission problem with the account.

Is your domain account is a system admin for both machine and sql server.

When you are changing the services running under that domain name ,did you add the account as "domainname\accountnname" or just accountname?

What kind of error you got so far ,could you specify?
