SQLAgentCmdExec - Proxy account failed

Dear All

I could start the Sql Agent Succssfully
but i am unable to start the sql mail service.

when i look at the sql agent error log
following error has log,
[000] Password verification of the 'SQLAgentCmdExec' proxy account failed (reason: A required privilege is not held by the client)

i have already reset the proxy account & password
but still error is there.
how could avoid this & start the sql mail service properly
