We were restoring DB2v8 running SAP at our DR site with 3590 tapes . The restore ran until it got to the next tape then blow with an SQL2025N 40 error .. Stating could not access "TSM" media ..Clean drives and reran the restore .Failed again "code 14" .....I struck it up as a bad tape ...Is a SQL2025N error result of a bad tape or is it something else ....And were can I find on the net DB2 erros and messages ...

to resolve db2 codes you can always enter
db2 ? xxxxxxxx
where xxxxxxxx is the sqlcode you received. Example below.
$db2 ? sql2025n
SQL2025N An I/O error "<code>" occurred on media
"<dir/devices>".
Explanation:
An I/O error occurred while accessing a file on the specified
media.
The utility stops processing.
User Response:
Record the error return code. Determine whether the I/O error
can be corrected.
