Hi,

New to SQL2005. I am having problems adding securables to the user.

I have added a new user against the server with a server role of 'public'.

I then added the user against a database. I then modify the user again, goto the "Securables" page, and then add the following Securables : Database and two stored procedures.

I see the objects listed under Securables. I then click OK to save.

When I got back and edit the user again, no objects appear in under securables! No errors occured so I assumed everything got saved ok.

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

Thanks

Chris

There is no error. That is the way it works. You must add the objects back into the view to see the security for them. You should see that the checks are there for what security you have granted then
