SQL2005 DMO Backward Compatibilty with .net 1.1

Hi all,

Awhile back I posted a thread relating to DMO errors when trying to call a backup process from .net 1.1 to a SQL2005 database.

I found an answer which was to download and install some Microsoft DMO backward compatibilty patch for DMO to allow it to work with .net 1.1.

This is all well and good and works lovely IF you are running a SQL Database in compatibility mode on SQL Server 2005, if you switch it to SQL2005 mode the DMO patch no longer works and am back to square one again trying to make the DMO Backup calls work.

Does anyone know anything about this?

If you are running in sql 2005 mode, you will need to use smo.
