SQL2000 Replication using a view?

I am fairly new to replication and I do not know if what I am trying to do is possible. In the the publisher database I have created a view that brings together four table (some outside of this database). When I set up the publisher I selected this view as article and using tranactional replication.

I have now set up a database on a another sql server (SQL2000 by the way) and created a table that has the same set up as the view that I was speak about above. I have set up this database as a subscriber.

I test the system I added a new record, via an ASP application, to the main table of the view (the other tables are really only 'lookup' tables). How ever I fail yet to have any data replicated, the monitor just says 'there are no replicated transactions available'.

Is it possible to replicate via a view? (For security reason we do really not want to place the other tables on this other server)

Is there anything else I should look at?

Thanks in advance

Robert,

I would also like to replicate a view to a table. Did you have any luck?

Thank you for any help,
Brandon
