I had this problem for a long time and couldn't find the solution for, but finally I got it. It refers to a problem when trying to connect to a AS/400 V4R5M0 through Client Access Express V5R1M0 ODBC. A error msg is returned with code SQL0904, and frankly I couldn't understand the message.

Solution:

ENDSBS QSERVER *IMMED
DLTSQLPKG QIWS/QZDAPKG
SRTSBS QSERVER
STRHOSTSVR *ALL

It worked for me, and I hope this can be useful for someone else.
