Hi all,

Got parent.net domain, and a child.parent.net domain. We've had a server called sql01.child.parent.net for quite sometime.

Recently, I've added in a brand new server with the FQDN on sql01.parent.net.

Since i've added this server, I am getting Event ID 11 on my DC's. Message is:

There are multiple accounts with name RPCSS/sql01 of type DS_SERVICE_PRINCIPAL_NAME.

However as far as I am aware, we have sql01.parent.net and sql01.child.parent.net - surely these are completely seperate?

Any help with this would be appreciated!

Cheers,

Steve.

BTW - I have used LDP.exe to try and see if I can find two entries, but nothing so far:

**Searching...
ldap_search_s(ld, "DC=parent,DC=net", 2, "serviceprincipalname=Host/SQL01", attrList, 0, &msg)
Result <0>: (null)
Matched DNs:
Getting 1 entries:
>> Dn: CN=SQL01,OU=Development,OU=Servers,DC=parent,DC=net
5> objectClass: top; person; organizationalPerson; user; computer;
1> cn: SQL01;
1> description: Development SQL Server;
1> distinguishedName: CN=SQL01,OU=Development,OU=Servers,DC=parent,DC=net;
1> name: SQL01;
1> canonicalName: parent.net/Servers/Development/SQL01;

Cheers,

Steve.
