SQL worksheet horizontal scroll bar

I just installed oracle 8i enterprise and started sql worksheet and ran a select statement. I immediately notice that the horizontal scroll bar isn't working which makes the results very annoying to look at since the rows span several lines and the results are not easy to follow. Does anyone know how to turn the horizontal scroll feature on ? Thanks.

Hey!
If u are talking about SQL*Plus, then goto Options Menu> Environment
There, in the Scren buffer. Increase the size of Buffer length to anything beyond 1000(which is the default)

There are cetain columns where we find the length more than 50-100 but the data is rather small. You ca reduce the length for display.

column column_name format A20
Or
column column_name format 9999.99


It is very useful .
