MIS
I am maintaining a very large reference database on my laptop using ms sql developer. As the database has gotten large, ms sql insists on completely occupying my disk i/o for 30 minutes or so at a time, several times a day. The only way to get anything done is to stop the server involved.
What's going on here? Is ms sql maintaining some kind of performance tables or something? Is there any way to schedule it or simply turn it off since I am the only and infrequent user?
