Does anyone know if there is a standard for SQL? I'm looking for something like ANSI's standards. I don't know if ANSI came out with standards for SQL, but if so, could someone point me in the right direction?

I appreciate any and all help in this matter. Thanks in advance! ~[ cid ]~

ANSI does indeed have a draft for SQL. You can search for it at but I believe it costs a few dollars to obtain it from them. A search on google for "ANSI SQL Draft" turned up many links, so that would also be a viable approach. Lastly, most books that I've seen that in their title have just "SQL" as opposed to Microsoft SQL, MySQL or whathaveyou, talk about the standard language without all the proprietary junk.

Good luck,
