SQL Server View - Mid Function 1

What is the SQL equivalent of the Mid function in a SQL Server view ?


It will allow
SELECT Left([que_file_key],2)


But not
Select Mid([que_file_key],3,20)

It says Mid is not a recognised function name - anyone got any ideas ?
