We are currently running SQL Server 2000 standard edition. It is my understanding that the standard edition can be upgraded to the enterprise edition. Is this correct? What is involved?

Jeff

Yes, that is correct. The Enterprise version is more expensive but let's you do some neat things with the web and SQL Analysis services for creating data cubes to be used on a website for drill down of financial data etc.

As far as the upgrade goes, you should research the Microsoft sql website to prepare for your upgrade. I have upgraded several of our sql servers and it has been my experience that when going from sql standard to enterprise things go pretty smooth. (Make a backup first though)
