Afternoon Folk ...

For anyone that is interested, Microsoft has recently released a beta application that verifies the status of various items within SQL Server against what MS feels is the best practice and or settings.

It is called aptly ... SQL Server Best Practices Analyzer.

It is free and it is a BETA ... but it is an interesting tool to look at. There are a few bugs especially when connecting and interogating remote servers but I am working thru them and will post any information I find.
