Hi everybody,

While connecting to a remote SQL 2000Server, I am getting the following error after sometime:

"[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][TCP/IP Sockets]ConnectionRead (recv())"

Could anybody tell me why I get this? What does this error mean?

Thanks and Regards
satish

Check your SQL Server and see if it is set up to do communications with TCP/IP or another protocol. This should be viewable from the enterprise manager in one of the drop downs. If mine wasn't on the fritz I would tell you exactly which. Maybe someone else will recognize this.
