If I have a user set up in SQL Server w/ Windows Authentication as both a login and a member of a group, do the groups rights and privileges supersede the login's or vice-versa?

It is my understanding that the user inherits the group settings, but that specific user settings will override any group specifications.

The settings will be merged with any DENY overriding any GRANT.
