Quick question we got sql 7 it has no sp applied to it ... i think it has memory leak because after doing alot of reports the memory usage just peaks and the whole sever slows to a crawl. We got P3 1.1 with 2 gigs of ram and 5 macola users. Will service pack help? any of you have issues after updating to latest service pack for mssql 7?

You will definitely want to apply service packs. If the process that keeps climbing is the sql server process, then service packs stand a very good chance of correcting it.

How about memory and database size ... how are they related ? I got 2 gigs of ram and 2 databases running one is about 1 gig and other one is about 2 ... will this also impact it?

2 gigs of RAM is sufficient to run a couple of databases that size.
