Hi

i have a application which uses database as sql sever 7
logins with same SQLUSERID(SA) TO application & validates user accounts from a tables.

there are about 50 users using the same application
can this cause to sql server performance
pls. help me on this

thanks

There should be no performance implications using the same SQL login ID for many users. We have several applications with hundreds of users that use an application login with user validation from SQL tables just as you describe.

I highly recommend using a different login than SA in your applications. You may have created a security hole by using SA in your application. Terry L. Broadbent
