We have got a DB in SQL Server with access mdb to enter down
data.
Sometimes the SQLServer locks the DB saying wait type
CXPAcket and says Rollback problem
We are able to get rid of this by Stopping and Starting SQL
Server
We learnt from MICROSOFT that this was a bug and
he asked to
i) Install SP2 of SQL Server
or
ii)Increase the parallelism count handling by SQL Server
The data entry on that server is critical and we had problems when we installed SP2 earlier on some other areas.
So is it advisable to do the alternative method?
Or
this issue can be avoided by any other means.
Pl enlighten.
