SQL Server linked server AS400

I am in the process for setting up an AS400 as a linked server. I'm using the IBM OLE Driver from Client Access Express. What are the minimum permissions for the account I will be using to access the 400?

do you mean what are the permission you need to have on the AS400 in order to run queries and muck around with the tables?

Thanks for responding. That is exactly right. The ERP administrator wants to know what type of permissions the id on the 400 needs to have.

Also is there anything else that might need to be configured on the 400?

We have an AS400 that I connect through Delphi and the Client Access Drivers, but I don't work much with the AS400 side of things so I'm not sure what my security settings are! So I would recommend asking in Forum513 (IBM servers).
