I have a SQL Server 2000 that has a number of jobs running on it. A day ago, these jobs quit running. After that they could not even be started manually. I have looked on MSDN and found nothing. (Big Surprise) I have rebooted both the server and SQL Server. Nothing is showing up in the logs and the Last Run Date is showing Unknown. There is also nothing in the Job History. These jobs have all run fine before and for about the last year and a half.

Any Ideas?

What do the jobs do? Are they backup jobs? If so and the backups get put to disk, check if there any space left on the drive that the backups are put to. (I encountered this myself a little while ago).

Also try restarting SQL Server Agent.

No they are not backup jobs. They are jobs that insert data into the database. They have no End Date and the appear to be executing, but not successfully yet also without failing. This is really wierd. Any more ideas?

If a job executes it has to result in either success or failure. Have you looked at the job history and clicked 'show steps' to see what the error is? Could it be that your transaction logs are full?
