SQL server installation problem

I was installing microsoft SQL server, and it keeps telling me that a previous installation has created some file that requires my machine to be restarted. i had restarted it severally, but it still came up. what do i do
 
Check the MSKB. Put in the text of the error that's poping up. There's a reg key you can tweak that Windows isn't reseting correctly for some reason.
