SQL SERVER ENTIRES IN Application log

we have windows 2000 server environment setup in our office. We currently running SQL Server 2000 on our servers. However, most recently i have noticed that we have too many MSSQL SERVER Entires log in the Application log. i.e Information icon display entire from sql server. I am just wondering why it listS so many entires in application log regarding mssqlserver Event ID IS 17055

Any Suggestions please
