I am sending email notifications once backup operations are completed from sql server using cdosys. In the text body ,i am using the token [A-MSG].I am getting the error

Executed as user: sa. Line 8: Incorrect syntax near ''. [SQLSTATE 42000] (Error 170). The step failed.

Plz help

It really helps is you show your code :)

Errors by themselves are usefull, but more often that not, what is raising the error is more usefull in helping to solve the problem....

At this point the only answer I have with the info you have given is the "Queen of Spades"

:)

Any reason that you are using cdosys instead of xp_sendmail or xp_smtp_sendmail?
