SQL Server Desktop Engine

Hello All:

We are running an app that requires the SQL Server Desktop Engine on our XP systems. I had an issue and tried to uninstall and could not get it off the system totally. Now when I am trying to reinstall I am getting a error 1920, do not have rights to start service on my xp system. I have tried to install while being logged in as Admin also. I know the issue is that some compontents are still on system and I have tried to strip everything from registery but the serivce still shows up in the Services control panel.

Any ideas would help and thanks in advance.
